'So tired of searchin
''Til you walked into my life
It was a feelin'
I'd never known
And for the first timeI didn't feel alone

My project today is a double gate fold card.

Front of the card closed with ribbon instead of a belly-band .

Card opened up.

I used BFF-(Best friends Forever) paper piecing pdf file for my card. I added glitter by Creatology to the shirts, and flocking on the shoes by Recollections. The flocking looks like suede shoes. I added beads around the neck of the punk shirt and Viva Decor Megenta pearl pen to the neck of the other shirt. I added a nose and cheeks with Copis-R20 and lips with E04. I added highlights to the blond hair with YR31.

To make a double gate fold card. Cut a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock in half. Score the one piece at 2, 4, 8, and 10 inches. The other half is not needed. fold the 4 and 8 inch scored lines to form a valley. fold the 2, and 10 inch lines to form a mountain. Make sure the folds are folded real crisp.
Now cute a coorenating paper at 1 3/4" x 5 3/4"-4 needed, and 3 3/4" x 5 3/4"-1 needed.

Now using a corner punch round the edges of the card on all 4 corners with the card folded up. Now round the right corners on 2 of the 1 3.4 X 5 3/4" pieces. Do the left corners of the other 2 pieces. Now do all 4 corners of the bigger piece. Glue all pieces to the matching places on the card leaving an 1/8" edge around the print. Now decorate the card.

Once the card is decorated and dry, you can tie the ribbon around the card. I tied a knot to hold it in place then added another piece of ribbon to form a double bow. Do not glue the ribbon down. It needs to be able to be removed to open the card.

Thanks for stopping and remember to stop by again on July 29, 20912 when our project will be The Birds for our next Design Team project

The next stop is Miriam. Be sure to see what she has created. we all have a best friend.
