Challenge # 168 at the CRAFT Challenge boxes

Hello, Today I am a guest designer at the CRAFT Challenge. The theme is boxes. I made a box in the shape of an ornament. You can find the challenge here. http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.com/
I used Cricut Cartridge Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More 2 to make the box.  This photo shows the pieces cut out and scored.
This photo shows the how to put together page the box is on and my score buddy. I really needed the score pal for this project.
Here is the box put together. At the top there are 2 flaps left unglued so i can fill the box with mini Reeses or Chocolate Kisses.
These 2 photos show close up of the 2 digital images I used. They are Christmas Cottage and Carl the Snowman by Robyn's Fetish. You can find them here. http://robynsfetish.com/shop/

Here is a photo of the Carl the Snowman side of the box. He is also on the opposite side.
Here is a photo of the Christmas Cottage side of the box. It too is on it's opposite side of the box.
Here is a photo showing 2 sides. The rhinestone flourish is by Recollections and i cut them apart and continued the flourish on each side all the way around. The flourish is different on each side as you can see here.

The gold braided trim is from Paper Temptress. I used 2 yards.

The blue shimmer paper is by DCWV- the new Shimmer Stack 12 x 12" pad. The blue cardstock underneath is by DCWV too. You need heavy paper for the box. The white cardstock to print the digis on is by Georgia Pacific.

Copics were used to color the images. Carl the Snowman-RV10, RV02-cheeks, YR01, YR02, YR07-nose, G03, G05, YG03-greens, R29, R35, R59-reds. Gold Metallic Gelly Roll pen was used on the center of the flowers on mittens. Stardust clear Gelly Roll pen was used On the white of the snowman.
  Christmas Cottage- C1, C3, C5, C7, E11, E13, E15, E17, E59. Stardust Clear was used on the snow and roof of cottage.

The box can be found on the Cricut key pad row3  button3 Box section 1 and Box section 2 on key pad  at 11.29"

Score Tape or another really strong adhesive is needed to glue the box together.

I want to thank the CRAFT Challenge for having me as a guest designer. I enjoyed the challenge of making a box.

Thanks for dropping in for a visit. I had so much fun. Edwina

  4. Wonderful embellished Christmas box. Came from Robyns Fetish site where I saw you were featured. I have the first Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cartridge but not the 2nd version.
