Robyn's Fetish Challenge # 154 anything goes

                                                   Front of Homemade picture frame

                                               Back of Homemade picture frame

Hello, Today at Robyn's fetish our challenge is "anything goes". Robyn's fetish is the sponsor this week. The winner gets their choice of 3 digital images from the Robyn's fetish store. You can find the store here . I am using "Ornate Frame" today.

                                            How to make the frame:
First I printed the frame off twice. Then I colored the frames. Cut out the inside of only one of them. The outside edges of both.

Copics used are E41, E43, E44, E47, E49.

Next glue the frames onto cardboard. Let dry. Then cut out the frames again. Note: I used cereal boxes. I glued brown cardstock to the frame that is the back piece. This is the solid frame not the cut out one. I cut around the frame again.

Now cut out a piece of acetate about 1/4" bigger than the frame opening. Hot glue it to the back of the frame opening.

Using pop up strips, outline around the photo opening on the 2 sides and the bottom. Do not put any at the top. I put 2 stripes all around and 1/2" pop dots in the corners of the frame for extra support. Now stick the 2 sides together.

Cut a stripe of cardboard 2" x 5 1/2". Cut a piece of brown cardstock 6" x 6". Using ATG runner or another strong permanent glue glue the cardboard in the center of the cardstock. cut the cardstock at an angle from the corners to the corners of the cardboard. Now fold and glue the 1/4" strip  to the 2" pieces of cardboard. Trim off the cardstock so it goes straight across or you can wait till the end. Fold and glue the cardstock over on the 5 1/2" side of the cardboard. Overlap with the other side. This will cover all the cardboard and make it really sturdy. Bend the one end about 1/2" down. Hot glue it to the back of the frame so you can stand the frame up.

The flowers are cut using Cricut cartridge Flower Shoppe. For the spiral part of the flowers using rows 1 cut two at 3" , one at 4" and one at 3 1/2".  The medium and bottom layers  use rows 2 and 4, button 3 cut  two at 1.5", cut one at  1.75", and one at 2" for each layer.

I cut the flowers out of white cardstock. I added pearls to the flower centers. The pearls are from Miriam"s Crafting supplies. You can find her store here

Once I have the flowers glued together and dry I spritzed them with Yellow Daisy Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist. Then while wet rolled them in Recollections apricot glitter. Let dry and glue to your frame using a strong quick dry glue.

The leaves flourish is cut using Cricut cartridge Straight From The Nest. You can find it row 2 button 8. I cut it at 1.61". using both the image and the layer. I then cut the flourishes to fit on my frame.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day. Edwina
