!2 Months of Christmas Link Up Challenge #5 Christmas Critters Midway post 05/15/2015

Hello, Today at 12 Months of Christmas Link Ups our challenge is Christmas Critters. I am using Open Window by Deedee's Digis. You can find it here Deedee's digis is our sponsor this month.

Even the animals around us get in on the act--with a little help from us of course. This month's challenge is all about the furry critters that entertain us during the holidays.
In order to have a chance to win the prize from our wonderful guest sponsor this month, make sure that your card showcases an animal suitable for a holiday card.  It can be in your image, your paper or even your embellishments.  If you do follow the optional theme, be sure to add FT after your name so that we include you in the draw for the prize.

Remember, you don't need to follow the theme to link up your cards and earn a free paper each month, and have your name thrown into the year end draw for some extra digital goodies.  You only need to follow the theme if you want a chance to win this month's sponsored prize of a $25.00 gift card from Deedee's Digis.

Copics used are E21, E23, E25, E27, E29, E43, E44, E47, E49- dog, E41, E43, E44, E47, E49- window for dog, R20, R22, R29, R35- red candle, W3- wick, B000, B01, B02, B05- blue candle, Y0000, Y000, Y00, Y02- candle light rings, Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17- flame, YG93, YG95, YG97- holly, R29- berries, Y21, Y23, Y26, Y28- candle holderE51, E53, E55, E57, E59- window for cat, RV00, R20, C00, C1, C3, C5, C7- cat.

Die cuts for the sentiments were made using dies by Darice called Nesting Rectangles- sentiment on cat card, and a Spellbinders die called Labels Four. I inked the edges of the dies with Studio g ink pads red and blue.

I cut out the wall area on each window after I colored the wood on the windows. Then I glued down the curtains. Glued the animals on the window sills and attached the wreath, holly, and candles. Then I turned over the windows and placed foam tape stripes to the window frames and behind the animals candles and outer edges of the curtains. I then attached the textured digital paper for the walls. Then I placed the window on my card using Score Tape.

I paper pieced the curtain and wall inside the window using Decosse's Dynamite Doodles digital papers. The papers are Holiday Hoopla set- Holly Berries for curtains, Holiday Hoopla Textured Papers set- orange and blue for walls, green for the wreath, 12 Months of Christmas set- red white checkered for the curtains. You can find these sets here

The sentiments are from the Happy Holiday set by Decosse's Dnyamite Doodles.

The red stitching was done using a Red Stardust Gelly Roll pen.

I used a brick stencil to make the brick wall. I rubbed a brown ink pad by Colorbox over the stencil.

The white board look on the card was done using my score board and bone folder.

Other papers used are by Recollections- green, Georgia Pacific- white.

The cards are 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
