Hello, Today at Robyn's Fetish our challenge is to Use Our Favorite Colors. My favorite colors are pink and yellow. I am using "Tea For Two" by Robyn's Fetish. You can find the Robyn Fetish store here http://robynsfetish.com/shop.
Copics used are Y0000, Y000, Y00, Y02, Y13, Y21, Y23, Y26, Y28, RV10, RV21, RV23, RV25.
I made a box by using Spellbinders dies Classic Circles Large using the next to the largest one, and Scalloped Circles- largest die in set. I cut out 2 circles and 2 scalloped circles using a cereal box. I then cut out in white card stock 4 each of the circle and scalloped circles. Then I cut out using my designer card stock 4 Scalloped Circles being sure my design went in the correct direction since it had stripes. I also cut out 2 circles in the floral print.
I glued the white card stock to each side of the cereal box die cuts. This gives extra support to the box and protects the designer card stock. Next glue on one designer circle to one side of each circle. Set aside. Then I glued a scalloped circle to each side of the scalloped circles. Thy to get them to line up.
Cut a 11" x 3 1/4" strip of double sided card stock for the side of your box. Score at 1/4" along the short side so you have a score line 11" long. Fold and crease the score line. Then add score tape to the inside crease. leave the lining on it. Cut at about 1/4" intervals along the 1/4" score line just up to it. Now remove the lining from the tape. Take a circle with the design paper up. Attach the score tape under it and slowly curve the side around the circle pressing the tape onto the bottom of the circle. Be aware you will need to over lap the card stock some. You will need to cut off the very last 1/4" flap on the bottom so it lines up right.
Once the wall is attached, glue it to a Scalloped Circle centering it up.
Place ribbon for the hinges next to each other on the other scalloped Circle. Gluing them into place. Now cover with a circle being sure to center it in the scalloped circle.
Cover the seam of the side on the wall of the box with ribbon or lace. Attach the loops for the hinges to the side. We are going to keep all seams on the back. Being sure there is a loop when you attach them them that has give to it. Place ribbon around the edges of the top and bottom of the box. This gives strength to the box and covers up edges of the ribbons.
Now decorate your box.
I added lace, pearl trim, flowers, my digi, and a doily.
