Hot Chocolate Card

Shades of blue. There are many blues. warms and cool  colors. There are blue moods in like missing someone, just feeling a bit down all the way to depression. Blue is referred to as a cool and soothing color by those who love it.
I love blues for winter and Christmas cards. They just seem to fit the theme. I especially like blue cups and snowflakes.
I wanted a card that showed encouragement, warmth, and happiness.  So I decided Hot Chocolate was the perfect thing. I could use my blues and add touches of warmth to it.
Winter time means hot Cocoa in our house. Especially when we were kids. We would go out and play until we were so cold and wet we had to come inside. Mom got us changed and handed us a cup of Cocoa right away to warm us up.
When my nieces were little we did the same thing. My niece Ashley was tiny for her age. It did not take long for her to be so cold she would drop to the ground. My brother always went out with the girls. He would pick her up and bring her in to Mom and I. We got her into a blanket and handed a cup of cocoa to her. After a bit she would be warm and begging to go back out into the snow.
Warm cocoa, warm memories, warm feelings of love for those in our family due to the shades of blue.
Blues always make me think of my Mom. Her favorite color is blue of any tint, tone or shade. She would have everything blue if it was up to her.
