Reading Writing and Arithmetic Blog Hop

School days, school days
Dear old golden rule days
Readin' and 'ritin' and 'rithmetic
Taught to the tune of the hickory stick
You were my queen in calico
I was your bashful barefoot beau
And you wrote on my slate"I love you, so"
When we were a couple of kids

The three Rs, a widely used abbreviation for the basic elements of a primary school curriculum: reading, ’riting (writing), and ’rithmetic (arithmetic) which is what the theme is for this month's Her Craft Kre8tions challenge!

Each Design Team member has received a piece of chalkboard paper approximately 6 x 6-inches. Now, where the challenge lies, is Design Team member is to create a "school" type theme whether it be a class lesson or something that their beau or them could have written on their slate. We're going to see how creative this piece of chalkboard paper can be made into with their "School Lesson" of "readin', 'ritin' and 'rithmatic.

We have a great line-up of super creative talent along with our Design Team Page:

See the black paper around the sides. It is Chalkboard paper. You can write on it with chalk and wipe it off. I thought it would be cool to write messages on there. it is on all 4 sides.

The pencil box is from Target's $1 bin. I wish I had bought more than one.

The cute images on the box are digis colored with Copic markers. The girl with the apples is from Dearie Dolls. It is a freebie.  You can find it here.   The girl with braids is from Digi Darla's Digital Stamp Club. You can find it here. The sentiment is by Create with TLC. You can find it here.

   Copics used for the Dearie Dolls image  are  E000, E00, E01, E02 -skin, E13, E17, E59, E95-hair, R24, R29, R35, R59, YG03, G03-apples, B01, B02, B05, B29-dress and shoes, B05-hairbow, books-R35, R29, R59-red, B01, B05, B29-blue, G03, G05, G07, G28-green, Y02, Y17, YR23-yellow. Gold Metallic Gelly Roll was used on the binding.

   Copics used on the Digi Darla Image are E000, E00, E01, E02-skin, E13, E17, E59, E95-hair, R29, R35, R59-reds, B01-eyes, B01, B05, B29-blues, G03, G05, G28, G07-greens, Y02, Y17, YR23-yellows.

The red glitter domes are by Clear Dollar Stamps. You can find them here.  I used them on the sides, and for the hair ties on the Digi Darla image and the Buckles on the Dearie Doll image. I also added some as accents on the lid and on the tag to open the box.

Your next stop is with Lisa W

There will be some super blog candy for one lucky winner that posts on each post along the way including the Design Team blog.
