Guest Design for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge Embossing Wet/Dry 5/12/2016

Hello, Today I am a guest designer on The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge. The twist this week is embossing wet or dry. You can find the Twisted Thursday challenge here

I am using a digi set called "MHK Designs Butterfly". You can find it in the MHK Designs Store here

I have 2 cards to share with you today.

Copics used are YR00, YR01, YR04, YR09.

I colored 2 each of the 3 sizes I made. I bent the wings on one of each size and glued the body to the body of the other butterfly of the same size. I placed foam tape on the wings right past the bend on the back of them so the wings would stay in place.

The embossing was done using Darice embossing folders called Jungle Border, and Butterflies.

The oval was cut out using a Spellbinders die called Classic Ovals.

The sentiment is by create with TLC. You can find it here I inked around the edges of it with blue chalk ink by Studio g.

The papers are by Georgia Pacific- white, Recollections- green, light blue.

The card is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

Copics used are YG00, YG01, YG04, YG09, B000, B01, B02, B05.

The embossing was done using a Darice embossing folder called Corner Scroll. I inked the embossed design with light olive ink. I then used Stickles on the dots of the embossed design.

The sentiment is by create with TLC. You can find it here I punched out the sentiment with a Fiskars punch. I cut off the bottom to get rid of the white space. Then inked around the edges of it with blue chalk ink by Studio g.

The papers are by Recollections- blue, light green, orange, Georgia Pacific- white.

The card is 5" x 7 1/2".

Thanks for dropping by. Be sure to stop in at The Outlawz and join in their challenges. The Twisted Thursday challenge can be found here

Have a happy day! Edwina

Edwina, we love having you as our GD at Twisted Thursday at the Outlawz! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us! Your butterfly cards with embossed accents turned out gorgeous! Thanks for the tip about coloring 2 butterflies and stacking them with the wings turned up slightly on the top one. That's a great effect!
