Cherish Butterfly Floral Altered Canvas

Hello, Today I am sharing an altered canvas board with you. It is 5" x 7".

I first used modeling paste with a Prima butterfly stencil. Once dry I spritzed it with Dylusions inks London fog, and Calypso Teal and Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist Blue Jazz and water. I let the colors blend together. Once dry I then used Mod Podge to seal the color. I applied 3 coats.

Once completely dry. Note: I let it dry over night. I added lace, trims and doily to the canvas. Then I glued on the chipboard flourish which is painted with Cream-coat Wedding Gold acrylic paint. Then I added the flowers and the word cherish. Lastly the butterfly embellishments.

The leaves are chipboad and are painted with acrylic paints green, lime, and sage.

The flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts.

The butterflies were given to me as a gift.

The chipboard flourish and leaves are from Fab Scraps and the chipboard word from Recollections.

The Lace and trims were given to me by my sister in law. I am not sure who they are by.

The canvas board came from Hobby Lobby.

The Doily came from Crafts 4 You.

Thanks for dropping by. Have a happy day! Edwina
