Spread Your Wings mixed media altered art

Hello, Today I am sharing a creation that is very different for me. It is mixed media Altered Art.

I started out with a cereal box. I cut off one side to measure 9" x 4 3/4". I then covered both sides with Gesso 3 times letting it dry between each application. Once completely dry. I then took a Fiskars stencil called "Butterflies and Liqutex Modeling Paste and applied the modeling paste with a painter spatula.

Once dry I spritz the design with Dylusions Ink Sprays Cut Grass and Calypso Teal and water. I moved the design around so the colors blended well covering the whole design. I let this dry then spritzed it again. I let this dry completely.

Then I spritzed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Iridescent Gold.
Let dry completely.

Now I am ready to decorate it.

The peach lace flower I made myself.  The button for the flowers center I got from Miriam's Crafting Supplies. You can find her store here http://miriamscraftingblog.com/.

The butterflies I got from Renea's Bouquets. You can find her store here http://www.reneabouquets.com/#!shop/c5em.

The small flowers and the leaves are by Wild Orchid Crafts. I ordered them from Archana Joshi at  Crafty City. You can find them here http://craftycity.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=108.

The pearl trim I got at Hobby Lobby.

Thanks for dropping by. Have a wonderful day. Edwina
